I went to this really breathtaking venue, Harewood House (www.harewood.org/hospitality) on Wednesday evening for a wedding open evening. There were also a few vendors in attendance, which I will elaborate on in a bit.
The first thing you see when you enter the venue is the valley and woods that just stretch as far as the eye can see. Then, off course, there is the Harewood House which is the home to the Queens cousin, the Earl of Harewood.

There are three possible venues for your wedding reception, they are:
1) The marquee that overlooks the house, which is truly wonderful. It can host from 90 to 600 guests for a formal wedding breakfast. The space is flexible and the tent is beautiful. The only issue I had was the smell from the diesel that provides the heating. They assured me that it is not something you notice when the tent is full.
2) The Courtyard is definitely my favourite. It has three separate function rooms, and can host your wedding breakfast, ceremony and evening function in these individual rooms. It can host from 50 to 120 guests and can be partitioned to create an intimate event.
3) There are also Rooms available inside the Harewood House which are for smaller more intimate weddings. I was not able to see these venues and can’t really comment on them
They have a few possibilities if you wish to have your civil ceremony or civil partnership on site:
1) The Courtyard provides you have different options with capacities ranging from 40 to 120 guests.
2) The House provides capacities of 40 to 120 guests depending on your requirements.
3) Furthermore the All Saints church can also be used for full wedding services or blessings and are located near the Marquee.
If you want to have your reception drinks served on the terrace at the south front of Harewood House, this would be an option. Besides the view it also allows for the photos to be taken at this location while the guests are enjoying drinks.
I met quite a few suppliers that were showcasing their businesses and the following really stood out:
The one thing brides and grooms should keep in mind is that it is not exclusively available and it comes at a price.
